We follow the education phylosophy and pedagogy of “Reggio Emilia” and Play-Way method of early childhood learning at our Preschool & Daycare Centre.
Our approch is a student-centered and constructive self guided curriculum that uses self-directed, experiential learning in relationship-driven environments. At “The Wonder Wiz”, the objective of our curriculum is to teach children how to use symbolic languages like painting, drama, sculpting etc in everyday life. In our approch, we assume that children form their own personality during the early years of development.
We consider parents as Partners, Collaborators and Advocate of their children. We respect parents as each child’s first teacher and we involve parents in every aspects of education delivery at our schools.
Our teachers are co-learners and collaborators with the child and not just instructors. Teachers will be the facilitators in child’s learning by planning activities and lessons based on the child’s interests, asking questions to further understanding and actively engaging in the activities alongside the child, instead of just observing the child’s learning. As partner to the child, the teacher is inside the learning situations.
The physical environment is one of the most important element of early childhood education. We consider the physical environment as “third teacher” alongside adults and other students. Our classroom spaces are integrated with surrounding environment, natural lights, indoor and outdoor plants. All our class rooms open to center “Piazza” and our kitchens are open to view. Our classrooms are well decorated with classroom materials, childrens project works & class works to keep the children engaged. Children can best create meaning and make sense of their world through environment which supports complex, varied, sustained and changing relationship between people, the world of experience, ideas and the many ways of expressing ideas.
